Graduation Wave

My cousin told me
To turn my tassel
To leave my Cap behind
Life is worth the hassle
Guess I gotta get a gown
To graduate from the feelings
That I often kept down
To accept the harsh reality
That life is plagued with great fatality
In all ways

I get to choose
Where I want to walk the pave
If I want to be the one

Who will consistently run
But never even choose
not to move

And be silenced as a coward
